Have you always wanted to walk along the streets of Paris? What about exploring history in the city of Munich? Well, you can do both with your family during a seven-day amazing vacation in Paris and Munich! Today, I am sharing a sample itinerary of what you can do in these two destinations for a family vacation. Plus, I will show you how you can easily combine a vacation in Paris with a vacation in Munich. The result will be seven days where you can make memories with your family. Especially since I will personalize an itinerary that will have you doing everything your family wants during this exciting time away from home in Paris and Munich.
A private driver will meet you at the airport in Paris to transport you to your hotel. Once you check in, you can unpack, relax, and enjoy the amenities at the hotel. Or you can walk around the city, embracing the Parisian ambiance.
Of course, you could also take a nap. However, that might not be the best way to begin your family vacation in Paris.
After a delicious breakfast in the morning, your family will head out on a half-day tour of the city. Your adventure will begin in Ile de La Cite. This is where the Cathedral of Notre Dame is located. From there you will go to Place des Vosges, the Louvre (one of the best museums in Paris), Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, and finally the Eiffel Tower.
You will make so many memories during this little adventure through the city. But your favorite part may be the views from the third-floor observation deck at the Eiffel Tower.
After a busy morning, you will head to a wine cellar for a wine tasting. Six different wines from different regions in France will be poured for you. Don’t be surprised if you have a new favorite or two by the end. And purchase a few bottles to take home with you.
Day two of your amazing vacation was a busy one! But today will be busier, as you all leave Paris to begin your family vacation in Munich. A quick flight will be necessary to get from Paris to Munich. A private driver will transport you from the airport in Munich to your hotel.
After quickly unpacking, it will be time to go on a private tour of the city. Your guide will share the history of the city during this tour. Your guide can customize the tour for your family. So, feel free to ask to see specific sights when you reach your meeting point.
Today is all about castles and palaces. The first stop of the day is Neuschwanstein Castle. This gorgeous castle looks out over the village of Fussen.
You’ll have plenty of time to wander around the grounds of this castle. But before long, it will be time to head over to Linderhof Palace. This was the smallest of the three palaces owned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria.
While this palace was the smallest, it is the only one of King Ludwig II’s three palaces completed before his death.
Day five of your vacation in Munich will be a somber day. This is because your family will be visiting the location of Dachau. This was a concentration camp operated by the Nazis. The horrors experienced here are on display at the museum.
Anyone who loves fairy tale endings will be thrilled with the opportunity to visit the famed walled city of Rothenburg on this next to last day of your family vacation. Walk along the cobblestone streets, as you look at centuries-old buildings and ornate statues.
It will feel like you have stepped back into the Middle Ages, as you explore this city. A couple of the stops you will be making here include Harburg Castle, Museum of Medieval Criminal Justice, and the Christmas Museum.
This will be your last day in Munich. Depending on the time of your flight, you may not have much time to enjoy many more sights. But if you do, make the most of it, so you can make a few final memories with your family.
There are so many other things you can do during a family vacation in Paris and a vacation in Munich. I can easily add those to your itinerary to make it easier for your family to make memories together.
