There are multiple family-friendly resorts on this best island in Fiji. I recommend spending your days on Viti Levu exploring the larger cities. Or wandering through the mountain villages and national parks. Your kids will love ziplining high above the trees or rafting down the Navua River. I recommend seeking a little downtime at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant or one of the local beaches.

The one activity you will all agree on during your family vacation in Fiji is shopping. I recommend one of the malls in a city or at a local sari shop.

A visit to this island must include a walk along the Lavena Coastal Walk. This trail will lead your family five kilometers past sandy beaches and a few villages. You will be rewarded with views of a stunning waterfall at the end of the trail.

Heading out to the Rainbow Reef is a wonderful way to spend a day when taking a family vacation on the island of Taveuni. However, there are other nearby islands your family can visit. So, do not be surprised if you do a little more island hopping than you originally planned.

Kadavu

Organic foods, authentic villages, and off-the-beaten path adventures are three of the things that draw families to the island of Kadavu. Yes, this best Fiji island is remote. But that won’t bother families like yours if you are searching for a little solitude during your vacation.

I recommend spending most of your time out in the Fiji water by the Great Astrolabe Reef. This is the fourth largest barrier reef in the world. While checking out the colorful marine life, make sure you spend a little time exploring the reef’s cavern and tunnels.
