Do you have a daughter or two? Or maybe four like I do? Well, then you are probably more than ready to celebrate National Daughter’s Day! Maybe you can head to the salon for a mani/pedi. Or go out to a nice dinner. There are hundreds of different ways you can celebrate with your daughters. One of my favorite ways to celebrate with my daughters is to go on vacation and National Daughter’s Day is a great opportunity to do it. Whether it is myself and all four of my girls or a quick vacation with only one of them, we always manage to have an amazing time. And I learn so much during our time together. It is incredible how they are willing to open up and share what is going on in their lives when we are away from home.
Maybe it is because their brothers and father are not around. So, there’s no one to butt in with their opinions. Maybe they are just more comfortable because it is a new setting. And maybe it is because everyone is a little more carefree and less judgmental while on vacation.
No matter the reason, I am going to continue to embrace my time away with my girls. And don’t worry, I do the same thing with my boys. They don’t get left out of the fun. And we do take family vacations where everyone is together. Not as many secrets are shared during those vacations. However, I do learn a few things during each one. And I get to see the wonderful people my children are turning into.
A couple of the destinations I have visited with my daughters include Alaska, Kenya, Norway, and Spain. I know there are so many others, including destinations right here in the US. I also have a vacation scheduled with my oldest daughter for later this year. We will be doing a cruise in Greece.
There are so many options when it comes to celebrating National Daughter’s Day. Vacations seem to top the list for me because they are fun for everyone involved and relaxing.
