Do you love visiting Disney World but could care less about the characters at mealtimes? Do you just want to sit down and eat delicious food without a million interruptions? Well, there are plenty of non-character restaurants at Disney World. If your kids are older, I have a few tips on visiting Disney with teens. Those tips can come in handy if you think your kids will say they are too old for Disney. Anyway, today, I am going to share the best family-friendly restaurants at Disney World without characters. These restaurants will be helpful in convincing your kids that Disney is for all ages.
T-Rex is located in Disney Springs. It is the best restaurant at Disney World for dinosaur lovers. At the entrance of the restaurant is a massive T-Rex that moves and roars. Definitely looks like the real thing!
This restaurant is divided into sections. Two of the sections are fire and ice. The colors in those rooms are red and blue, respectively. Those colors change when the meteor shows runs, which is every fifteen minutes. The dinosaurs throughout the restaurant move and make noise during the meteor shows.
When your family is not paying attention to the dinosaurs, they can eat family-friendly foods. The menu is quite extensive. So, even the pickiest eater can find something they like. Dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets are even on the menu.
Ohana is a restaurant at the Polynesian Village Resort at Disney World. I love going to this restaurant for dinner because they serve it family style. Dinner includes bread, salad, meat, noodles, and vegetables. Dessert follows, so make sure you save room.
The kids will love this restaurant because they can watch the food being prepared in the open kitchen. The kitchen is in the center of the restaurant, so it can be seen from every table.
Oh, and you don’t need to be a guest of this Disney World restaurant to secure a reservation here!
The 50s Prime Time Café is located in Hollywood Studios. The food at this restaurant at Disney World happens to be all the home-cooked meals your grandma used to make. Hopefully, your kids will devour the fried chicken, pot pies, or whatever else is on the menu.
If they don’t, you shouldn’t worry. I am sure they will dive right into the chocolate and peanut butter cake at dessert!
When you are wandering around Magic Kingdom, you will want to check out this restaurant inside Liberty Square. You can eat lunch and dinner here. This is another Disney restaurant that serves the meal family style. There is a prix fixe menu, which makes ordering simple.
While plenty of food should be placed on your table, you can easily order more to have seconds.
Yak & Yeti can be found at Animal Kingdom. This Disney restaurant features Asian-inspired dishes. The menu is filled with items that include sushi, ribs, pot stickers, and noodle bowls. Their menu is the same for lunch and dinner, so you won’t need to worry about which meal is best for dining.
This restaurant offers numerous desserts. However, the fried wontons are my personal favorite. They are served with fresh pineapple, honey, and ice cream.
Coral Reef is a restaurant at Epcot. You will find it in The Seas Pavilion. There is an aquarium filled with all sorts of marine life inside this restaurant at Disney World. Hopefully, you can get the kids to focus on the menu, so they can order their favorite. They can then eat while being mesmerized by sea turtles or sharks.
There are two Rainforest Cafes at Disney World. One is located at Animal Kingdom, while the other is over in Disney Springs. Thunderstorms pop up in the restaurant every fifteen minutes. No worries, you won’t get soaked during these storms! You will love watching all the animals move around and make noise, though.
This restaurant at Disney World serves all the family favorites. I’m talking burgers, steaks, pasta, and wraps. In the end, the kids will probably want to venture into the gift shop to do a little shopping.
These are the best non-character restaurants at Disney World. Some of them you need park tickets for. You can visit all the others when you are outside the parks.
