You can easily go at any time of the year. I must warn you that the months of July through September are the busiest. It is during those three months that the Croatian biking trails are packed with people doing the same thing. If you do not love large crowds, you may want to travel to Croatia during one of the off-peak months.

Medjimurje

Medjimurje is in northern Croatia. The traffic is usually light in this area of the country. The Mura-Drava trails are all flat. This is perfect if you would prefer to enjoy the stunning scenery instead of focusing on the twists, turns, and hills of some roads.

Istria

Istria is filled with biking tours, so it is an excellent choice if you don’t want to venture out on your own. The best area for biking in Istria, Croatia is over in Parenzana. That area has an abandoned railroad that has been transformed into a biking and hiking trail.

Central Dalmatia

The Central Dalmatia region has long been known as a touristy area. But it wasn’t until recently that bike riders showed up for rides. To entice people to stay, 4,000 kilometers of biking trails have now been created in this area of Croatia.
