We are approaching the time of the year when you will be taking the time to celebrate your graduate. Maybe you have already spent some time visiting colleges. They have probably filled out applications. Maybe a final decision has been made since acceptance letters have started to be sent out. You could even have a child who is a junior in high school, and you are simply getting prepared for their senior year. Either way, it is probably time to plan a surprise trip to a fabulous destination to celebrate your graduate.
There is no senior in the world that would argue over a dream trip to any of the Hawaiian Islands. So, choose an island and take your graduate on the trip of a lifetime. Your days can begin on the sandy beaches and end with gorgeous sunsets. Add in a little luau, a few leis, and a tour or two, and your graduate will love their time before college begins.
Alaska might be cold during most of the year, but those temperatures rise during the summer months. And yet, you can still see the glaciers, fjords, and many wild animals. You can spend your time in one of the major cities, or you can choose to venture to a smaller destination within the state. There is no right or wrong way to explore Alaska as long as you are seeing the sights you want to see the most. I love the UnCruise Adventures up in Alaska because they allow you to see some incredible areas that most people do not even know exist.
Adventures by Disney offers an incredible escape to Yellowstone National Park. Imagine spending lots of time outside with your graduate as you do a little horseback riding, rafting, and hiking. Just imagine the photo ops you can get with Old Faithful in the background! You might want to take the graduation gown with you to capture the memories one last time.
If you are ready to travel out of the US, you can always consider a trip up to Banff, Canada. There is a plethora of outdoor activities to do there, including hiking, rock climbing, and fishing. This trip is more for outdoor enthusiasts, so if this describes your graduate, you will know this is the perfect trip for them! You can stay at a luxurious resort, which means lots of pampering after long days of exploring the rugged territory or walking the city streets.
American Cruise Lines does not offer your standard cruising experience. Instead, they offer a smaller cruise opportunity for those who do not want to deal with the crowds. Of course, you still receive amazing hospitality, delectable cuisine, and the entertainment you crave when you are on vacation. They offer many different destinations, but your graduate might prefer seeing some of the sights up and down the Mississippi River. Most of the cruises average eight days in length, which is the perfect amount of time to celebrate your graduate.
These are a few of the best destinations for a surprise trip to celebrate your graduate. I understand it will be difficult to choose from them all, which is why I recommend determining which one will match the personality of your graduate while also providing the things they love to do the most. After all, a graduate that loves the beach will not want to spend their days in the mountains of Banff, just like a nature-loving graduate is not going to want to be anywhere but the great outdoors.
