Hanoi is the city in Vietnam that is visited the most. However, there are many beautiful towns in Vietnam that are worthy of a visit. Most of those towns in Vietnam are filled with history, delicious cuisine, and plenty of nature. Therefore, they can be just as alluring as Hanoi and areas like Ho Chi Minh. Today, I am going to share a few of the beautiful towns in Vietnam. You may want to consider adding them to your list for future family vacations.
Exploring the town of Da Lat is a peaceful experience. The lack of traffic lights will have you wondering how you will head back to the big city when your family vacation is over. Head out of the downtown area to visit Xuan Huong Lake or Dambri Falls.
Step back in time while visiting the town of Hoi An. This ancient town is considered one of the World Heritage Sites in Vietnam. The colorful structures and unique architectural features make it the perfect place for family vacation photos.
Head to one of the museums to learn about the history of the area or rent a bike to cover more territory when exploring. Don’t forget to visit the Japanese Bridge. It is one of the top attractions in Hoi An.
Searching for a unique way to explore Vietnam? Consider taking a river cruise!
You will want to plan your family vacation in the town of Sapa carefully. This is one of the only areas in Southeast Asia where it snows. Although, the terraced rice fields do look pretty under the slight cover of snow.
Head out for an adventure when there is a mist or fog covering this town. It adds a mystical touch that will elevate your experience.
Ninh Binh is considered an oasis in Vietnam. This quaint town offers lush mountains amongst the magnificent landscape. I recommend starting your family vacation with a paddleboat ride. The boat will take you along the river, as you enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding area.
This port town is directly on the East Sea of Vietnam. You can spend your days within the Son Tra Mountains or on the white sandy beach of My Khe. There are also three World Heritage Sites near this town in Vietnam. Those three sites include Hoi An, Imperial City of Hue, and My Son Sanctuary.
Ha Giang can be found near the Lo River. One of the best things to do in this town is riding a motorbike. Hop onto your motorbikes and head out on the journey of a lifetime. You get the best of both worlds in this town. You get the rugged outdoors and the comfort of what you would find in a bigger city.
One of the best towns for a vacation in Vietnam is Phan Thiet. Co Thach is an excellent beach for searching for shells and relaxing on the sand. This beach can get crowded. Especially during peak times of the year.
If you want to escape the crowds, head to Cu Lao Cau or Phu Quy Islands. You will need to take a boat to those islands. Totally worth it though to escape the crowds!
The sun lights up the streets in Tuy Hoa during the day. However, at night, the streets are awash in the glow of lights from the oil lamps this town is known for. This makes this town in Vietnam the perfect destination for partying all day and long into the night.
These are some of the beautiful towns in Vietnam you should consider visiting during a future vacation. I can easily add one or two of these towns to your time visiting the larger cities in Vietnam when I personalize your family vacation itinerary.
