But if your family happens to be in Kaikoura, you must make sure a swim with the dolphins is on your list. Dusky dolphins spend their time in the water in Kaikoura. Some of the dolphin pods have one hundred of these creatures, while others have one thousand. One of the best things about swimming with dolphins in New Zealand is you can do it year-round.
The archipelago of islands that make up the Bahamas are perfect when you want to swim with dolphins. There are numerous tour operators that will take your family out to see the dolphins. You can even book an adventure on one of the islands where you can swim with the dolphins and have your picture taken with them. One of the best parts of seeing dolphins in the Bahamas is you see many different species. The species you will see the most include spinner, bottlenose, striped, and spotted. This is another destination where dolphins can be seen year-round.
The Galapagos Islands are another travel bucket list destination. Your family will be thrilled with the fact you can all swim with dolphins and even dive with them during your visit. The best islands to do these activities include Isabella, Darwin, and Wolf and you can visit them year-round to see the dolphins. The dolphins your family will see the most include bottlenose and common, but you may also see spinners and spotted during your vacation.
The Hawaiian Islands have dolphins swimming in the water all year long, but the winter months can bring more to the area. This is an excellent vacation destination if you want to see bottlenose, spinner, and spotted dolphins. The best places to see dolphins in shallow water is the islands of Oahu and Hawaii. However, every island offers tours where you can get up to close to these magnificent creatures.
There is plenty of marine life in The Azores. Heading out on a boat or for a swim will have you seeing some type of mammal. Common and bottlenose dolphins are the types of dolphins you will see the most during your vacation in The Azores. While you can see dolphins here at any time of the year, they will quickly be out of sight if an orca or false killer whale arrives in the nearby water.
