People have been fascinated with the characters in Star Wars for more than four decades now. So, no one should have been surprised when Disney shared they would be opening Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios in Florida. The chance to visit what was once considered a galaxy far, far away, would quickly become reality for so many. If your family loves Star Wars, you may be thinking about visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This would make a fabulous family vacation. Especially if you discover the hidden gems in Star Wars. And combine it with the other theme parks in the area.
Today, I am going to share some of the hidden gems you can find at Star Wars with your family at Hollywood Studios. Finding these hidden items will make your time in this Star Wars galaxy better than you could ever have imagined! Follow the do’s and don’ts while visiting Hollywood Studios for an even better time.
Throughout the land, you will discover elements from all the different Star Wars films. Some of the most fascinating hidden gems will be the creatures you see.
Over at the Black Spire Outpost, look up at the tank to see the dianoga from the Death Star trash compactor. And at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, you will see the taxidermic wampa from the ice planet, Hoth. While there, check out the mural on the wall. It shows a battle between the dark and light sides of the Force.
You will see Hondo Ohnaka at the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Look closely at the ground to see if you can spot the footprints from R2-D2. Follow them and see where they lead!
Many new stories have appeared now that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is open to the public. However, some of the stories shared in a Jedi holocron atHollywood Studios were created prior to the opening of this land.
People who visited the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago in 2019 shared their own personal Star Wars stories. Watch, and listen, to those stories in the Jedi holocron.
If you look at the different props you see during your visit, you might notice that the materials are all older. This was done on purpose. Disney wanted to ensure these props look the same as they did in the original Star Wars movies.
Purchasing souvenirs at Disney is part of every family vacation. So, your trip to Star Wars at Hollywood Studios won’t be any different. The good news though is you will see a lot of authenticity in the souvenirs you purchase.
The mold used to create Princess Leia Organa’s souvenir necklaces is the same mold that was used to create the one that was worn in the movies.
Other items were created after taking 360-degree digital pictures of the originals.
Oh, and the Jedi robes for sale in Star Wars land were modeled after Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker’s robes in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
You never know what hidden gems you will spot with your family when you are visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios. These clues will help you spot the most popular ones.
