Are your passports ready to use? Do you want to go somewhere exotic with your family this spring? Today, I am going to share some of the exotic destinations you can visit during a fabulous spring family vacation.  

Exotic Destinations for a Spring Family Vacation 

Canary Islands, Spain 

The Canary Islands offer warm weather and lots of sunshine all year long. Your family can spend hours outside each day. Whether that time is spent on the sandy beaches or out having, thrilling adventures is completely up to you.  

If you want to go hiking, I recommend heading to La Palma or Tenerife. If surfing is on your family’s list, then Fuerteventura is the place to be.  

No matter which island you choose, there will be luxury hotels and plenty to do for your spring family vacation.  

Oaxaca, Mexico 

Culture is everywhere in the city of Oaxaca. Your family can spend days exploring the local markets and historic buildings. Or head out into the countryside to do a little hiking before dining on delicious Mexican cuisine. Add in a guided walk or two, and you will learn quite a bit during your spring family vacation.  

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic 

It is usually all about the beach and luxury resorts in Punta Cana. Although, I want you to think about thrilling activities like ziplining and horseback riding too. Those and the local cavern tours will give you something to look forward to on the days you are not spending on the beach. Your family may also want to do a little island hopping while in the Dominican Republic.  

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 

Carnival season may be the most popular time to visit Rio de Janeiro. However, springtime really brings out the natural beauty in this destination. Party the day away at Copacabana Beach or Ipanema Beach. Head out to Sugarloaf Mountain or up to the Christ the Redeemer statue to really experience the authentic Rio.  

The Galapagos Islands 

The Galapagos Islands are the perfect destination for family vacations at any time of the year. Yet, there is something about being there during the spring months. This exotic destination is filled with rare plants and animals. While you can stay on one island, I recommend island hopping for the best experience.  

Honolulu, Hawaii 

Remember when I mentioned above that you would need to wait until next year for a spring family vacation in an exotic destination if you didn’t have a passport? Well, you won’t need to if you choose to visit Honolulu, Hawaii!  

Hawaii is definitely considered an exotic destination at any time of the year. A family vacation on this island is exactly what you need if you want to spend your days swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on the beach. Add in a few hikes and other family activities, and you have the perfect spring family vacation! 

These are some of the exotic destinations you should consider for your spring family vacation. Yes, you need valid passports for many of them. However, there are a few options besides Hawaii that you can choose from if your family hasn’t gotten passports yet. We can discuss all of them as I plan your spring family vacation. And once this trip is planned, you can get to work on getting those passports. That way, you can vacation anywhere next year!
