4 Spectacular Nights in Lapland 

Day One 

After a flight from home to the Rovaniemi airport in Finland, you will be more than ready to be driven to your hotel. There are a couple of different types of accommodations available in Lapland for your family vacation. However, if you really want this trip to be memorable, I recommend staying in one of the glass igloos. Those igloos are perfect for viewing the Northern Lights at night.  

After you are all checked in, you can explore a little before heading out on a reindeer safari. A few of the reindeer from the farm will be waiting to take you on a sleigh ride. Hopefully the Northern Lights will be dancing overhead after this family adventure.  

Day Two 

After a late night, you may be ready to sleep in a little on day two of your vacation. You probably won’t be able to though if you decide to go ice fishing. And of course, you can’t skip an activity like this while in Lapland!  

After your ice fishing adventure, head back to your hotel and sit by the fire. This will allow your family to talk and share what they are loving about this time away from home.  

Day Three 

You may think that safaris are only available in Africa. But you can go on numerous safaris while on a family vacation in Lapland. Today’s adventure will take you out on snowmobiles, as you explore the forests. Stop whenever you can to take pictures of the frozen lakes and other majestic sights.  

Once your snowmobile safari is over, it will be time to head out on an ice floating experience. Simply lay down on a frozen lake and watch the magic that appears in the sky overhead.  

Day Four 

Today’s safari will be your family’s all-time favorite. This is because you will get to visit huskies. Some of the huskies will be hooked up to sleds. They are more than ready to take you through the forests.  

You will want to make sure you remember your camera for this one. The huskies are always ready to photobomb family pictures! 

Day Five 

You have now spent four nights together as a family in Lapland. That means you will be driven back to Rovaniemi airport today for your return flight home.  

The memories you make on a family vacation in Lapland will be priceless. You may even decide that you must spend more than four nights in this beautiful destination so you can do a few more activities with your family.
