Have you longed to take the time to go on a family vacation of the West Coast? There are so many things to see and do in this part of the US, so I completely understand. In past conversations, I have asked people why they haven’t taken the time to explore this side of the country. Many of their responses included the fact they didn’t have time! Well, as a travel advisor, I may not be able to find time for you. But I can make sure you see nine cities in only ten days. Securing a private jet for your family vacation will allow you to visit more destinations in a short period of time. And it won’t cost you millions of dollars either.
Private jets are one of the newer modes of transportation for family vacations. Fewer hassles at the airport, no delayed boardings, and endless opportunities to simply enjoy time together as a family. Making memories with your family doesn’t need to be complicated or time-consuming. It simply needs to be well-planned, so you can savor every moment you have together.
With so many places to explore on the West Coast, it can be difficult to determine where to begin. However, I don’t think anyone can find a better destination than Napa Valley. When you are not tasting wines and touring vineyards, you may find yourselves amongst the redwood trees at the Muir Woods National Monument.
Your time in Napa Valley may seem shorter than you would like, but lots of fun is waiting for you down in San Francisco. This is where your family can see the Golden Gate Bridge, Nob Hill, Fisherman’s Wharf, and even the Full House/Fuller House home.
You won’t want to miss a trip out to Alcatraz Island either. The boat ride alone is something your kids will talk about for days.
It is all about the great outdoors once you get off the private jet near Bryce Canyon. This will be a day to put on your hiking boots. You can follow along the Rim Trail to see the massive rocks. Today is the day to capture a million Instagram-worthy pictures. You should probably get a few of the kids and yourself too!
The following day brings more outdoor family adventures at Zion National Park. The waterfalls of the trails are mesmerizing.
Your arrival in Arizona will mark the halfway point of your family vacation on the West Coast. Your time in Arizona will include a quick visit to Antelope Canyon and the city of Flagstaff. Then it’s off to the Grand Canyon to see one of the natural wonders of the world.
Shopping with kids can be fun (maybe), so I can plan for a little time in the stores in Williams. This area is along Route 66, so you can check a couple more travel bucket list items off during this fascinating family vacation.
Unique conversations will be part of your day in Sedona. This is where you will all spend time at Montezuma Castle, Chapel of the Holy Cross, and even looking for UFOs. Imagine what your kids will say at each destination. Especially when it is time to look up at the sky after the sun sets.
I am not sure who will be more excited about your arrival in Las Vegas. You will love the opportunity to win big on the slots. The kids may just love the vibrant atmosphere of this city that parties late into the night.
When you are not on The Strip, you will be out on a boat on Lake Mead, while admiring the Hoover Dam. Or you may be devouring chocolate at the Ethel M Chocolates Factory and Cactus Garden.
A second day in Las Vegas will have you wandering through the casinos and heading down to Fremont Street. A little ziplining may be in order before you settle into your seats to watch an exhilarating Cirque du Soleil performance.
After the show, you may not be ready for bed. However, a little sleep will be helpful before you board the private jet for one last time in the morning. Your family vacation on the West Coast has come to an end. And yet, you will have tons of memories to look back on from this time away from home.
