You don’t need to travel too far to experience one of the most thrilling roller coasters in the world. The Coney Island Cyclone was built back in 1927. There are 27 drops during the ride. And the roller coaster reaches speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. A ride on this coaster will leave you breathless, as your heart is also racing.
Oh, and this roller coaster is now a designated historic landmark. So, if you are going to choose just one roller coaster, this should be it!
If your kids are dreaming of becoming race car drivers, let them experience 149 mile per hours speeds on this roller coaster. Everyone will be given protective glasses to protect their eyes. However, make sure everyone is prepared for the 1.7 Gs. Trust me when I say this is one of the thrilling roller coasters that you will be pulled in multiple directions.
Colossus is a roller coaster that will have you doing 10 loops in under 2 minutes. The best loop is the last one and you definitely won’t be expecting it!
This steel roller coaster was opened in July of 2001. It used to be one of the faster coasters in the world with its speeds of 106 miles per hour. However, newer roller coasters have been constructed since then and have taken over the record.
I recommend trying to keep your eyes open for this ride. If you can manage to, you will see amazing views of Mount Fuji.
Two coasters race side by side for this ride. It makes for a heart racing experience you won’t have anywhere else. This roller coaster only hits speeds of 62 miles per hour. But the twists and turns will have you feeling like you are going much faster.
Pure adrenaline is all your family will feel when you ride along the 8,133 feet of this coaster. It takes one minute to reach the top of the first hill. There are 3 more minutes to go for a total of 4 minutes of heart pounding thrills.
The Silver Star is one of the thrilling roller coasters that will be one of the most comfortable rides your family goes on, thanks to the restraints. Mercedes-Benz sponsored those restraints, so you know they are top of the line. This may look like a simple ride. It is filled with turnarounds, hills, and helixes though. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!
Storm Runner delivers an 18-story drop, 135-foot cobra loop, and speeds up to 73 miles per hour. This roller coaster ride only lasts for 30 seconds. But it is an intense 30 seconds your family will never forget.
Taron opened back in April of 2015 and quickly became one of the most thrilling roller coasters in the world. A ride on this coaster will have you going forward and backward at the same time. Add in the speeds of 62 miles per hour and height of 205 feet and you have a ride everyone will love.
Screaming will be everyone’s response to a ride on the Intimidator 305. At speeds of 90 miles per hour, you may or may not remember the 305-foot drop. I recommend bringing a bag along for this ride.
